AME Selection Procedure

Selection of candidates for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering course is purely on merit basis i.e. marks secured in 10+2 (Higher Secondary) examinations particularly in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. In case of a tie, as seats are limited (30 seats), then aggregate of 10+2 all subjects is considered. However, to assess the English language proficiency the candidates are required to clear written examination at IGRUA campus before induction. A merit list is prepared for different categories of candidates as per GOI guidelines and the shortlisted candidates are issued Instructions to join the Institute.
A portion of total seats are reserved for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories as per GOI guidelines

Eligibility
- Candidates must have passed 10+2 examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from a recognized board or University or its equivalent.
- Candidates appearing 10+2 examination (PCM) can also apply
- Diploma in Aeronautical, Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics engineering recognized by state technical education board shall be considered as equivalent qualification.
- Candidate will have to clear a medical examination for physical fitness and color blindness prior to admission for the course by a Doctor possessing at least MBBS degree.
- To prove the equivalence to 10 +2, the applicant is required to submit a certificate from a competent authority such as Association of Indian Universities (AIU).
- Minimum age at the time of admission: 17 Years
- PCM group with minimum 50% marks in Physics and Mathematics aggregate for general category Candidates.
- PCM group with minimum 45% marks in Physics and Mathematics aggregate for SC/ST/OBC/EWS categories.
Terms and Conditions
- Admission fee is non refundable
- Tuition fee paid shall not be refunded after commencement of the course.
- Candidate shall abide by all rules and regulation of the Academy.
- Trainee must maintain at least 90% attendance during the entire course.
- The minimum pass marks in semester/ DGCA module examination is 75%.
